Lockdown everywhere, while it is known as Circuit Breaker in Singapore
On Friday 3rd April 2020, just after lunch, several WhatsApp messages from friends and government channel pop up. Informing us that Singapore Prime Minister will be speaking at 4pm live.
At first, this message does not click anything to the brain but after looking closely at the message carefully “extra control measures to be taken”. Warm stood up, “usually nonchalant playing his games” and said “maybe we should go and top up”.
And there, they quickly switch off their computers and went to the nearest groceries store. And as expected a queue is waiting for them. So immediately, they went to hunt down their “essential” stuff among the limit item and one of them queue up with a 1M safety distance from the next customers. Their essential stuff include milk, instant noodles, yakult, canned food and also “Collon” tidbits.
Luckily they are there earlier and after the purchase, they made it in time to watch the live telecast of prime minister’s speech.
As expected, Singapore do have a semi lockdown but known as “Circuit Breaker”. Nope this is still not Dorscon Red. WHY IS IT CALLED CIRCUIT BREAKER (CB)? Think must be CCB compete circuit Breaker then it is red. So it is still XXL orange. It will start on Tuesday 7th April til 6th May.
Anyway, most essential services, hawker centre, wet market, groceries store, laundry, salon ( for haircut only) , certain banks and post office are still available. And in Singapore, everyone is still allow to exercise alone or with same household family in park, (note stadium is now closed, due to people still grouping together).
The message from government is simple. PLEASE STAY AT HOME. So here is Cozy been staying at home since Monday 6th April. Postpone all appointment including medical and closing ecommerce store. Although there will be more customers wanting to buy online these days, since they can’t shop outside. Warm will be the main groceries man for the time being.
As mentioned in previous post, with the China lockdown been lifted. We can get shipment from there for some of the indoor exercise equipment. They are cheap too. Check it out at Shopee and Lazada.
Happy Shopping online and protect your self and everyone will be back outside in no time.
Majority of the items can be acquired from online store like Redmart, Ntuc and EAMart. Everyone do keep safe and protect others especially the front line people at the same time.
